The Gettis Exceptional Education Project (GEEC) is an international initiative committed to advancing inclusive, high-quality education for children with special needs especially those on the autism spectrum. Rooted in compassion and driven by innovation, GEEC is transforming special education in the Dominican Republic and beyond through a comprehensive teacher training model and resource network.
Founded by trailblazing educator Elena Gettis, the project unites U.S. and Dominican professionals including licensed special education teachers, therapists, curriculum developers, and nonprofit leaders with decades of experience
